Carlos Olives
I am Carlos Olives, an independent technology consultant in Menorca. I work at the intersection of business, the physical world and the digital one: I connect sensors, facilities, software and data so companies run better and can scale.
My background combines systems, software development and project management. I have worked in IT infrastructure, software development, data management in tourism intelligence, ERP projects, IoT in agritech and telemetry in the hotel sector. Always with the same goal: that technology works, stays maintainable and creates real value.

How I work
Four steps, no surprises halfway through.
Each phase ends with a document in your hands. You can stop at the end of any of them.
01
Assessment
Site visit, inventory of what is already there and which decision cannot be made today for lack of data.
02
Proposal with a closed scope
Architecture, budget and schedule in writing. What is included and what is not.
03
Delivery and integration
I coordinate suppliers and work in phases so production never stops.
04
Documented handover and support
Testing, training for your team and documentation that stays in your house, not mine.
06
Case studies
Results, not screenshots
Ongoing projects under NDA: anonymised client, real figures.

No opaque hour banks: scope and price defined before signing.

External CTO
Monthly support: technical decisions, review of offers and system evolution.
The Balearics are my natural base, but I work on the mainland for projects longer than two months, combining on-site visits during critical phases with remote follow-up.
You, if you want to: I hand over documentation, credentials and training. If you prefer to delegate it, the external CTO model covers maintenance and evolution.
It depends on the scope, but it always starts with a fixed-price assessment. With that report you decide whether to continue, and with what budget, with no prior commitment.
Does your project fit no box at all?
That happens often. Tell me in two lines and I will say whether I can help.
